Question about English (US)

What kind of impression does each of those words give you?
"bare minimum" and just "minimum"
I found this word in the TV show that is saying;
"About two weeks."
"That's not a lot of weeks. In fact, that's the bare minimum to get the plural "weeks"."
("The Separation Triangulation" The Bigbang Theory Season11 Episode14)
Concerning to this conversation, is there any difference between "bare minimum" and "minimum"?
