"rub it in our faces"= to brag about something to someone, particularly to make them feel bad
"rub our faces in it" = to shame someone
Here are some examples:
“I almost hope she doesn’t get into that elite school because if she does, she’ll rub it in our faces forever.”
“ We better win that soccer match today because if we don’t our coach is going to rub our faces in it.”

There is another saying related to these two- “ Don’t rub it in” or Don’t keep rubbing it in”
it comes from “ Rubbing salt in a wound”- when someone keeps mentioning or doing something hurtful or annoying to you.
Example 1 -
Your girlfriend told you if you took a later train you’d miss that concert. You took the later train and now she’s telling you all about it..
So You say, “I know. I feel bad enough as it is, you don’t have to rub it in.”
Example Two-
Your Grandfather is upset because his drinking buddy keeps on telling that story about how grandfather once broke a very good bottle of whisky.
So your Grandfather says, “ I don’t understand why he has to rub salt in an old wound like that:(“
