" I did not request that." I would say this in an email when a product I ordered isn't correct.
For instance, I ordered the night cream . I did not request the day cream. "

I ordered a dozen chocolate doughnuts. The clerk packed a dozen strawberry doughnuts. I then say very directly to him because I am upset and I am superior, I say " I didn't ask for that. Instead I could have said politely, "Excuse me, but I think I ordered chocolate doughnuts."
