No, since you’re referring to onions or bananas in general you have to phrase it as “I like onions/bananas”. Unless you’re are referring to a specific item-

I agree with @AlmostNever , it sounds like you mean the flavor. For example, you want to buy yogurt, you might say 'I like banana (flavor) the best'
