@leopard10 Adding in “While” would be the correct answer, I believe.

The best way to think of it is that “when” means “at the time of”, but “while” means “at the same time of”. You use “while” when you are simultaneously doing something else, that’s how I remember it.

It’s very confusing even for native speakers though, so don’t worry too much!
