@AlexHellll The sentence is missing a comma. It should be
"Don't overtake from the left, boss."
In this case, "boss" is used as a casual address for a person you don't know well. You could substitute "pal", "friend", "buddy". All are fairly casual, and a little bit rough.
A: "Please hurry up with the tickets! I want to catch the 3:00 train!"
B: "Take it easy, boss. All the trains are cancelled because of snow."
C: "Hey, bartender. Can I get a whiskey and two beers? Thanks."
D: "You got it, boss."
E: "Hurry up with the food! You're so slow!"
F: "Watch that attitude, boss, you'll make people angry."

Okay so, this has complicated context :,)
The text on the image is written by the person who witnessed this person driving poorly.
Boss = 老板/上司
The use of “boss” is the person talking to the car circled. For example “Hey boss, I don’t think you should do that” or “Hey man, that looks dangerous.”
They are stating: don’t merge from the left side to try and get in front of the other car, because then you’re in the car’s “blind spot” making it more likely to not be seen by the driver which makes it more likely to get hit or cause an accident.
Sorry I do not know how to explain well in Chinese! I hope this helps, feel free to ask me more questions.
