@OkayRichay I thought x stands for letter chi in the greek word christós (christ) so its just an abbreviation for the word Christmas...

in America the people who are no longer Christians but celebrate Christmas still with their families just with out the religious aspect put an X on the word Christ. When I was a Christian and I used to write this thinking that it was an abbreviation my pastor would get very upset with me. I'm not a Christian anymore and I use this as well as other people to make it known that we are not Christian but we celebrate because our family is Christian we just don't do the church and the believing of Christ part
