I don't think this is a "pun", unless you are thinking about something else
Also, one of the "now"s should be omitted, either one is fine. Also, "I got how it works from the picture"

Oops! I just corrected “now i __now/ i_” into “now i __/now i_”

"I got the picture" just means "I received the picture" and it doesn't make sense to be followed by "how it works"

Yes i think it means like that, and i’ve heard that it also means smth like:
“i can imagine the process (thanks to your explanation)”
