beat
past simple, beat
past participle, beaten
I use "beaten" for the past participle.
For example: He never admitted that he had been beaten.

@OldGeezer Right, as you said, the dictionaries shows "beaten" as the past participle of beat. But I noticed, in the movies or shows, that many British people seem to use 'beat' as the past participle. I'm confused. If only one or two persons used it, then I would have considered it as a merely mistake. But I've found out that many used it.

@Bunch Sometimes a "mistake" becomes popular and many people start using it. That doesn't make it right - it's still a mistake. But if a lot of people use it, then you can use it in informal English and you will still be understood.
But be careful. Some "informal" English still sounds wrong, even if a lot of people say it wrong.
For example, a lot of native speakers write "dose" when they mean "does". "Dose" is not acceptable. It's wrong. It looks like the person has never gone to school.
As for me, I try to use correct English whenever possible. And I still use "beaten" as a past participle.
