For most uses you can use either as they can mean the same thing.
Both “Summon my things” and “Conjure up my things” have the same meaning.
They can have a spiritual meaning because conjure is older your audience will think of it as more magical.
They can also both be used for everyday sentences but for formal or dramatic situations.
It’s mostly a poetic difference. Summon is more powerful in emotions than conjure. Conjure is less commonly used than summon.
A poetic example
“Summon your demons.
Conjure your fears.
Summon all your strength.
Conjure your tears”

Summon = to call; to order someone to come to a particular place.
"His boss summoned her to a meeting in his office."
"The officer summoned reinforcements in order to add to the defences."
Conjure = to call, to make appear - but by the use of magic, or supernatural power
"The magician conjured up a dove from out of the box."
"The ghost was conjured up by means of a magic spell."

I like your poetic example very much.
But I think it's important to stress that in the literal sense, a boss can't 'conjure' up someone to come and take notes at a meeting.
In the metaphorical sense, of course there is this sense:- "The boss wished he could conjure up $1,000,000 to pay for the new machine."

@henryHigg I think you are right that it wouldn’t sound right in a modern America due to it’s falling out of use
