Question about English (US)

What is the difference between No other city in Japan is larger than Tokyo. and No other city in Japan is bigger than Tokyo. ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

I'm wondering about how "large" and "big" placed before "city" convey a different meaning. Which of the two is more acceptable or natural? Do they have some clear difference if any? Thank you in advance.
