You have to try and get enough sleep for you to properly function the next day. No matter what it is, overdoing it can have an adverse effect on your brain. Even though reading is good for your brain, if you are up all night reading a book, do you think itâs still going to be a good influence on you?

First sentence:
You have to try to get enough sleep to function properly the next day
You have to try to get some sleep. At least enough for you to function properly the next day.
*Saying âsome sleepâ and then âenoughâ is conflicting. Pick one or the other.
Second sentence:
Overdoing something can adversely affect your brain, no matter what it is.
Not getting enough sleep can have adverse effects on your brain.
*It would be either âadverse effects on your brainâ or âadversely affects your brainâ. âEffectsâ is a noun that can be applied âon your brain.â âAffectsâ is a verb and does not need âonâ to apply to your brain.
Third sentence:
Even if reading is good for you, if you are up all night reading a book, itâs not gonna be good for you.
*âDo you think itâs gonna be a good influence on you?â could be a separate question. Nothing is really being influenced, so it would sound better to say âbad for you.â
I didnât explain everything I changed, but there are a million different ways to rephrase these sentences. It just depends on your preference. This is very understandable though! Good work!
*hope I didnât confuse you too muchđ*
