Question about English (US)
#1 I like studying.
#2 I like to study.
#3 I like study (the study / studies).
Could you tell me if there are any differences among the three sentences?
I would appropriate it if you showed me some context where there are used.
よろしくお願いいたします。

Hi,
I don't think, I like study, (using it as a noun) is incorrect but if that is going to be used then I think that enjoy is the more appropriate word to replace like.
So basically I'm not disagreeing with you here.

@embee #1 and #2 are correct, #3 isn't.
Technically, #2 is the grammatically-correct way of saying it. But everyone also says "I like studying" so it's not a mistake.

I appropriate your quick response.
Honestly speaking, I have not heard 'I like study.' That is because it is less natural as you say.
Then, I would like to know when you use the word 'study' as noun?
