Question about English (US)
What is the natural way to say “to avoid being taken as sarcasm, I’ll try to use the phrase A with the phrase B”?
It’s when someone told you using only phrase A could be taken as sarcasm so you would be better off using it with phrase B.

What you said is already fine, but I would have replied like this:
“I’ll try clarifying with that phrase to avoid being taken as sarcastic.”
(Also, “phrase A” and “phrase B” should not have “the” before them.)

Oh it shouldn’t? Ok, I’ll try and say phrase A next time.
