Question about English (US)
Is it weird to name “Ian” for a girl?
I have asked some friends and they said “Ian” is a male name.
My new job ask employee to have an English name and “Ian” is a name I most like because my Chinese name and “lan” sounds very familiar, sadly I’m a girl.

"Ian" is a Scottish version of the name John, so there are many female equivalents: Jean, Joanna, Hanna, and Siobhan.
