"Apple, please." O
"Please apple." X
I'm trying to think of why we do this. It's not something I really ever think about as a native speaker.
Please works in front as a polite command. (If it pleases you...)
Please sit down.
Please don't do that.
Please eat your vegetables.
Please be quiet.
For a polite request put it at the end.
May I have an apple please?
Sit down please.
Stand up please.
One newspaper please.
All are seen as polite and will occur in normal speech.

All three are perfectly natural in daily speech. I have no idea why that would be marked as incorrect.

@brendan7somm I learned to put what I want in front of me, like "apple please" when I have something I want.

I understand.
『Please sit down.』>『Sit down please』
『Please sit down.』>『Sit down please』

@Ayano3104 If it is an item that you want, it has to be a request. 'Apple' is not a command, 'sit' is.

However, we can make it a command by inferring action.
Please give me an apple.
