Hello! In Colombia, we have a word to refer to people who are complacent with their superiors. These people compliment them, give them gifts, defend them or even do more work than they are asked to, only to be taken into account by their superiors and so that they don't fire them, don't fail them, or simply don't dislike them. For example, a student complimenting his or her teacher to pass the course:
