The second is more natural and common. There is a slight mistake in the first. Using two past-tense verbs in a row is not usually proper. It should read, "The beautiful weather helped tempt me to go outside and get some exercise" or just simply, "The beautiful weather tempted me to go outside and get some exercise." After correction, both phrases could be used and would be completely understood. Hope this helps :)
