I think it’s more common to say someone bled out instead drained out. So you can say “He bled out and died” or something similar to that!

Bleed out, bleed to death, and die of blood loss are all more common expressions. "He drained out of blood" isn't ever used.

@HDGD I can say with certainty that it isn't normal English to say it that way. I'm not sure what that particular sentence was about.

This here says that he was drained of about 40% of his blood (the practice is called bloodletting in english). The real cause of death is thought to be some kind of infection or inflammation of his throat.
