Question about English (US)

Can i say
'Modeen Children have expectations from their parents and roam the course decided by their parents'
instead of
'Nowadays children are made to take the course decided by their parents' expectations.'

I know the first sentence isn't brief but i'd like to know whether native speakers can make sense!
