It's pretty harsh. You will have to decide whether or not it's worth the backlash.
I did that once to my parents – when I was much younger than you – and boy oh boy, did I get in a hell of a lot of trouble...
Yeah so basically – if you're going to tell somebody to shut up, you better be really good friends with them, or be siblings with them. Otherwise, it could get nasty.

@isthmus_x I've watched some several TV shows, youngers are still talking that way to people who are older than them, but everybody's reaction on that show was very normal, as if nothing was serious🤔

@rosy_choy I wouldn’t do it because it is quite rude and they will not like it. That is a term to use around friends and people you have a close relationship with.

Yes, I have seen similar shows. I don't know what to tell you – on one hand, TV is obviously not like real life. On the other hand, I have noticed – in real life – that there are a lot more parents these days who seem to accept wilder behaviour from their children. I want saw this young boy breaking things and hitting other children, and his mother – who was right there – did nothing, and didn't even seem worried. I think it's really terrible, but maybe I'm just old?
But this is not the standard right across western society. It's just a thing from TV, I think

@isthmus_x Actually, in Vietnam it also would get nasty to say this thing to old people. I posted this question coz I found it weird when people on shows can say that. Now, it's very clear! Thank you
