La parte del cuerpo llamada mano es femenino... La mano, las manos... por lo tanto, el diminutivo es también las manitas.
Manito... sería un diminutivo de un man... que es una jerga (slang) de la palabra en inglés "man", por lo tanto
man = persona.
manito = niño
manita = niña
También, en otros países se suele decir mano a los hermanos. Entonces manito sería hermanito.

En español de Venezuela seria manito o manitos (si es plural) "Las manitos de un bebé".
En venezuela también le podemos decir "mano" a los amigos, y en su version femenina "mana". de cariño se les dice Manito/Manita. "Manito ven acá por favor"
