Question about English (US)

1. Yesterday I took a picture of him murdered by a gang on the street when he fought the gang three days ago.

2. When I visited the hospital yesterday, I took a picture of him murdered by a gang on the street when he fought the gang three days ago.

Are both sentences 1 and 2 above all correct English?
I know they sound unnatural because there's a more natural way to say them in other words, but I'm curious whether they're all correct, purely in terms of grammar.
