Question about Japan

If someone invented a personal time machine and traveled back in time, let's say to April 3rd, 1581 in Japan for instance, would they have to report this event to the Japanese government? Since technically speaking, they trespassed on Japanese soil without a valid Visa, would such travel be illegal? Even if they had a Visa to be in Japan during the time they built the machine, would it be considered invalid if they traveled to a time before the Visa was issued? Would most Japanese people mind that kind of travel being done? If so, if someone theoretically time traveled in that way, would it be best if they said nothing?
