Question about English (US)

How do you say this in English (US)? Los atletas japoneses están en casa

''Estar en casa'' is not referring to the action of being at home literally. In this sentence, it means that given that the Olympics are in Japan, then the athletes are ''en casa''. I am not sure if this clear, but if it is not, please let me know and I will explain better. :3
