So it's usually best to avoid this problem by using other phrases, and by asking the other person to clarify what they mean.
For the weekend at the end of the current week, “this weekend” is commonly used.
There isn't a simple way to clearly refer to the weekend after that, but some options are “the weekend of next week” or “the weekend after this one”.
