Question about English (US)

I understand "much" is used with comparative adjective + an uncountable noun, and "many" is used with comparative adjective + a countable plural noun. How about "a lot" and "far"? Can they be used with comparative adjective + a countable plural noun like "many"?

(1) He has many more books than I do.
(2) He has a lot more books than I do.
(3) He has far more books than I do.
