Question about English (US)

So here's a word called "hypocrite"

But…does this description fit it?

They seem polite, they say polite things and act politely. However, they're only so when it's in their favour or in need of your help.

I was thinking of "selfish" or "self-centred" too. But would a hypocrite be selfless or not self-centred?

Oh…probably a "user"? 😂I suppose you know what I mean but I doubt if "user" makes any sense.
