Question about English (US)

When I say this sentence in an interview, does it sound natural?
I don't want it to be too casual, but on the other hand, I don't want it to be too formal.

"The preciousness and importance of life"

Valuing the life of myself and others is one of the most important things all of the creatures have to do. That is why the act of deciding the end of one's own or another's life is unacceptable. Of course, we must not disregard the lives of animals, either. The news of black cats being abandoned because they are not Instagram-worthy shows how little we humans value animal life. The importance of life is in the fact that if it is destroyed, it cannot be taken back. It is the same for people and animals. Also, when someone dies, the people around them are sad. The death of one life has such a great impact.
