Question about English (US)

Correct?

"While practicing essay in other languages, everyone should have thought of it once; “How would this word be said in the language?”
Of course, so am I. And when I look up the expression, sometimes I can’t find what I wanted readily. It’s not going anywhere with this and look up the meaning of the Japanese word going back to the basics, I get surprised to find that it is actually different from what I had recognized.
Strangely enough, even this kind of process makes you realize that you are using your native words in a different way from its original meaning without knowing it."
