Hah, not that "establish" and "found", robertk. =P
"Established" means that something was brought into being by law or charter or contract or similar.
"Founded" means someone paid money to set it up (i.e. they funded it - "fund" and "found" in this sense have similar origins).
You'll probably find that they're regarded as being the same in the real world, though, especially if you're looking at a shop front with a sign saying "established 1872" or whatever. Mind you, shops can be founded first and established later. It's a little technical.

Sorry, I keep confusing matters by introducing more complex words and ideas. Ignore the "technical" bit - do you understand my explanation of the difference?

Ok, so both "established" and "founded" tend to be used to say that something was started. "The government established a panel to research climate change" or "This school was founded in 1725."
Is this what you wanted to know the difference between?

I do what to know the difference between the two words
- English (UK)
Like I said, "establish" means to create something by passing a law, or signing a contract, or similar. You might establish a government or a bank account, for example.
"Found" means to create something by paying money. You might found a school or a university.
Some things can be both established and founded. Like shops.
"Found", in this sense, is different to the past tense of "find", so don't let that confuse you.

Hi @belthazar . I keen on asking you more on this matter. So, I'm dealing with some translation but kind of unsure whether it is ok to say "The company has been established since 2002." or not. It refers to a company starting their business since 2002 and still around up till now. Thank you! <3

@annisaandriana_ I would say “The company was established in 2002”
