My suggestion is to watch things like vlogs, where you can actually listen to americans speaking in their daily lives.

Probably TV is better than any. Because in books there are a lot of things written in a way people wouldn't say out loud, and people you talk to on the Internet use a lot of dumb phrases and weird sayings that nobody uses in real life. On tv you get a more natural view of everyday conversation. Or YouTube videos, though there you can encounter the same "internet speak" problem.
