"Saturday morning cartoons" is a term for kids cartoons that aired early on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's not something that's as common anymore since kids can watch cartoons at literally any time of day thanks to streaming (after school cartoons are what we had as kids in the 2000s), but they were super popular back from the 1960s to the 1980s. Most TV stations back then were largely adult-oriented and didn't play things catering to kids so this was one of the few times that kids could actually watch things that they enjoyed themselves. Lots of animated shows that are considered to be classics or staples used to be Saturday morning cartoons.
