Question about English (US)

Hi! I would like to know whether in the following sentence it would be Ok to leave out the word "pair" that could come before "poles", so as not to have that word repeated 3 times in the same sentence: "Everyone had a pair of skis, poles and a pair of special boots." Of course I can also remove the word "pair" that comes before "of special boots", but I would like to keep it as it is. Thank you in advance!
