I’m pretty sure the answer is A.
It’s not C because no one hopes they lose a ticket, especially when it’s not easy to get another one.
It’s not D because “Not, I’m afraid so” doesn’t make any sense. It’s not grammatically correct.
And honestly, it could be B. It’s both grammatically correct and a valid response. But I think A sounds better and is more natural for this dialogue. If someone had lost their ticket, I think they’d already be trying to get another one instead of pointing out how hard it is to do so.
