"Make us proud" is the grammatically correct way to say it, but "do us proud" is what most English speakers say. There is no difference in the meaning! Yes, "do us proud" is incorrect, but most English natives don't care that it's incorrect because it sounds better ^^

@jmsmd many thanks, are there any other examples that it is more common to use "do" instead "make" even if it's incorrect?

@Ada92 I can't think of any other examples of "do" instead of "make," I'm sorry! But, there might be many examples of other incorrect sayings in American TV shows or movies. Many native speakers use any phrase incorrectly if it sounds better. So, if you listen to American media and think something sounds incorrect, it probably is ^^;;
