「てみる」は意志動詞にしか接続できないと思うのですが、これは教科書の問題でしょうか？そもそも「終わる」が意志なのか、無意志なのか、という問題もありますが...。
一応答えてみます。
「結果は終わってみないと分からないものでしょう」・・・結果とは終わった後に分かるもの（結果はいつ分かるのか）
「結果は終わりをみないと分からないものでしょう」・・・結果とは終わりを見て分かるもの（結果はどうすれば分かるのか）
「終わりを見る？」という表現もあまり見慣れない表現です...。なんとなく意味は通じますが。

終わってみないと、が正解たと思うけど普通の人は言うと思う。
終わりを見ないと、だとアニメとかの最終回を見ないと分からない、みたいに言うのが正解かな。
でも、しゃべってる時は違和感は無いよ。
