Question about English (US)

I must say I completely disagree with the statement that an individual human cannot do anything to help the environment. In my point of view, climate change and ecology became popular among teenages and other young people. Nowadays, people deeply care about green issues. Most of them avoid using plastic bags and use reusable cotton shopping bags to reduce the use of plastic. Everyone should use energy-saving light bulbs at home. It brings many benefits to the environment but in addition It helps people save money. I would also add that taking part in environmental campaigns helps to draw public attention to important issues. In fact, the more people see the problem, the better we can work to make a change.
