- A small flash of reflected light "glints" (e.g. off gold, in eyes)
- A small amount of light (not necessarily reflected) "glimmers" (also a glimmer of hope, doubt, or interest etc.)
- Lots of different points of light being reflected, especially when they're close together, "glitter"

They are all synonyms, and usually you just use whichever best describes what you are referring to. Glitter is also an object and a descriptive.
