A little unnatural
It's a bit strange by saying, "...loud sound SETTLED outside." I conclude this because settled wouldn't be a very common term use that way and would probably be more difficult to understand than to rather switch settled with occurred. I would replace settled with occurred to sound more native and natural.
"Talkng" is also spelt wrong. I believe you meant talking.
