Have you ever eat a "onigiri"?
I think a onigiri is popular than sushi in Japan. But in the movie or drama, every Japanese Restaurants sells sushi, sashimi and tempra.

I am from Oregon, United States. Onigiri is nearly unheard of here. You could probably find onigiri only in Japanese grocery stores and some general Asian markets. It is very rare. Tempura can be found in some restaurants, but many people don't know about it. Sashimi and Sushi are fairly popular and common. Some Americans don't like sushi, but many do.

Onigiri is unheard of here in Illinois, USA. Another term is "rice ball". I have made onigiri before with tuna in the middle. You would have to explain to someone what it is if they don't know much about Japanese food.

Thank you for your answer. In Japan, we can buy Onigiri at all of convenience store. If I want to eat Onigiri in U.S, I'll go to Japanese grocery stores. ;)

Thank you, "tuna onigiri" is my favorite one! I think many American food companies came to Japan, but Japanese companies are too timid to oversea market.

There are no places that sell onigiri in Mexico, but I used to eat tuna and mayo onigiri a lot when I was in Japan.

Thank you! Onigiri is delicious and has many types, but not expensive. I like tuna and mayo onigiri too. And I also like mentaiko onigiri.(walleye pollack roe)

In Singapore, we have a lot of Japanese food. So I have eaten onigiri before. I like them best when they are marked down/reduce to clear (they're cheaper at night) (:
