Question about Japanese

Can you please correct my Japanese?

matter is any substance that constitutes our universe. It has mass and volume and exists in the form of solid, liquid, and gas. Matter in our surroundings can be classified in several ways, but the most common distinctions are between metal and non-metals, organic and inorganic substances.

Matter may be classified either as metal or nonmetal. The common features of metals are: (1) they are good conductors of heat and electricity; (2) they reflect light when they are polished; (3) they can be pulled and stretched in wires (they are ductile) and can be hammered into sheets (they are malleable). ductility and malleability are the two most important properties that make metals excellent materials for industrial products. One way of distinguishing different metals is to measure the density. The density of a material is defined as its mass per unit volume (g/cm).

Thank you so much
