'Looser' refers to the degree of tightness of something, generally meaning a lesser degree of being 'loose'.
'Loser' refers to someone who doesn't win or more accurately generally comes last.

@TrajanUlpianus Thank you! I think I've heard (read) "looser" with the same meaning as "loser" and I wasn't sure if it was a mistake. Cheers :)

These jeans are too tight, do you have any looser fitting ones.
Loose is the opposite of tight. Looser is used to compare with something else.
Spain scored 6 goals and England scored 2, England is the loser.
Opposite of winner.
I hope these are good examples.
For pronunciation that are different too, I recommend checking the sound using an online dictionary if you are unsure.
