they mean the same thing. "must" is more formal and "have to" is more casual/natural and more commonly said.

"must" vem de "Devo". soa como obrigação. ' i must do it/eu devo fazer isso. "Have to" vem de precisar fazer algo. "i have to go/eu preciso ir".
