Question about Japanese
Can someone help me please, I can't really tell the difference, when reading, between katakana 'ン' (n) and 'ソ' (so) I'm having the same problem with 'ツ' (tsu) and 'シ' (shi). Does anyone have any tips to help? Thank you :)

I had the same problem when I was learning kana ^^. I don't know if you noticed that the strokes of ン and シ are quite horizontal and the strokes of ソand ツ are almost perpendicular.
- Slovak
I remembered it as "シはしたから書く" = SHI wa SHIta kara, meaning "shi is written from the bottom" , tsu is the opposite... And since Shi is from the bottom, So is the opposite, cause Japanese has to be complicated :D
- English (US)
- Spanish (Spain) Near fluent
For ン and シ, the first two strokes are more horizontal, and the final stroke begins horizontal and curves upward, starting from left to right. ソ and ツ begin vertical, and the final stroke is vertical and curves downward, beginning from top to bottom.
