Sometimes I come across guys who suddenly start to call me "babe", "baby" or even "honey" online, and I don't feel good at all when they call me like that, and I think it's absolutely not appropriate. Those terms like babe and honey are usually used between gf and bf relationship, aren't they?

I'm really sorry that you were treated like that. To answer your question, no, it is absolutely not okay for them to talk to you like that unless they are very close to you. It seems so rare these days to find people who truly respect one another without ulterior motives.
I really am sorry, please don't judge all men by these bad experiences, there are still a couple of us good ones out there =\

Those terms can mean different things depending on if the person is comfortable or not. Since you are experiencing this online, I wouldn't worry about this, because people tend to do things like this without meaning it.

sometimes people mean it as a joke, but if you feel it is wrong, and they don't stop, you should definitely tell them not to.

if you feel uncomfortable with it, make sure you tell them. Americans don't get subtlety.
