I went to Mikurumayama Festival. It’s held in Takaoka-city Toyama-ken.
I live in Takaoka, but I went there for the first time.
I’ve never been to this festival, because the festival is held on the first of May regardless of the day of the week.
But this year it was on a Sunday and weather wasn't bad, so I went there with my family.
This festival has seven floats called Mikurumayama which have gorgeous wheels. They are the work of local craftsmen using traditional wood carving, Japanese lacquer and metal engraving.
The wheels are almost as tall as a person!
There were lots of people, probably due to the recent extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
I want to see it again, but next year's May first falls on a Monday.
Maybe I won't be able to see it.
I took some liberties with your text.
I hope it helps in some way.
