"Why is Thomas my best friend" or "Why Thomas is my best friend"
I saw the second sentence somewhere but it seems weird to me. I'm confused 😵

They are both grammatically correct, but have different meanings.
"Why is Thomas your best friend?"
"I don't really know why Thomas is my best friend."
The first is a question, the second is a subordinate clause.
