Question about English (US)
I've been told that Americans, or Westerners in general, are protective of their privacy and feel offended when asked about their private matters. Strangely, in many offices in America, I found that people put up the photos of their family, kids, spouses or girl/boy-friends. This is almost unthinkable in Japan, where workplace is considered strictly for work, and people hesitate to show personal aspects to colleagues. Interesting, don't you think? does this sound natural?
