Question about English (US)
1) How did you come by that book/movie?
2) a) School starts on September fifteenth.
b) School starts on the fifteenth of September.
As a native english speaker, which one would you use?
3) I legit cried when I watched the movie. (legit=really) ??
4) Do you think she "would" or "will" use it as a weapon?
=talking about a possibility (nobody actually knows; speculation) and at the same time asking for opinion.
5) I cut my finger as I was flickering through the pages. Does this sound natural?

1) Correct, just formal. More casually, you can say "How did you hear about it?"
2) "School starts (on) September fifteen." If it's already September, I'll say "school starts on the fifteenth."
3) Correct. Legit is short for "legitimately" but yes, it is used like really or actually.
